Jammic and Flip – In My Mind

With the Pedro Cali remixes still burning a whole in your cd
wallet, Fine Art continue their onslaught with this release
from Jammic a.k.a. Jam Kazovsky, ʻIn My Mindʼ.
Raised on art and music in south Ukraine, Jammic studied
piano in a local art school and at a later age established his
first musical guise in the shape of a kraut-rock electronic
band, mainly combining rock and electronic experimental
sounds.
Hip hop and black music quickly followed and Jammic got
the production bug , expanding his inspiration to new wave
and ambient artists such as Depeche Mode and William
Orbit.
This wide range of experiences and vibes has resulted in a
superb understand of his foremost love, house music. ʻIn My
Mindʼ is his debut on Fine Art and it is a classic, warm deep
house cut with a fresh production approach.
Remixes come from two exciting directions, as always with
this London based imprint. First up is Muallem, known for
his material on Compost, whose remix is a superb and
undefinable piece of music. Somewhere between Chicago
basslines, Detroit pads and balladic arpeggios, this mix is as
sublime as it is strange.
The second rework comes from Italian favorite Disco-goers,
Phreek Plus One. Here, they mix Nordic nu-disco with ny-
disco to create something quite special.
Fine Art being Fine Art, thereʼs also a digital-only mix from
French producer Flint,
whose take on the track is a fresh, samba-like piece of
broken beat.
More variation, more quality and more essential music from
Fine Art.
